Today Rosa and I visited Extreme Gymnastics USA in Warren for their preschool open gym. Preschool open gym takes place, during the school year, Mondays and Thursdays from noon until one. The cost is $5 per child and is intended for children ages five and younger.
The gym is filled with a ton of great activities for younger children. Children can climb on a wide variety of different mats, walk along balance beams, hang from the rings or uneven parallel bars, jump on the mini trampoline or the trampoline runner, climb the rope, or play in the pit of foam.
At age two, Rosa enjoyed running around the gym trying out each activity. The employee in the gym was very helpful and nice. She offered ideas for Rosa, helped her participate in activities and answered all of my questions.
The gym equipment showed some signs of wear and you could see chalk residue in some areas (like the uneven parallel bars) but overall it was clean and Rosa’s socks were still white on the bottom when we left. I did see restrooms and a water fountain were available but did not utilize either. They also offer vending machine refreshments.
Extreme Gymnastics offers classes, parents night out, birthday parties, tumbling clinics, and field trip in addition to their open gym. Each new client is required to fill out a waiver before participating in gym activities.
We had a grand time and I would recommend Extreme Gymnastics to anyone with children that are looking for a preschool open gym or gymnastic classes for their little ones.
